So through all of the Batman "media" (comic books, films, books, etc.), and for a big fan like me, comes a question, not so often:

Has there been any type of disappointment?

I would say hardly ever. but there are a few that does exist. For example, movies made from comic books do have

some type of success, just depends on how the movie pleased. Well we all remember the first batman motion

picture starring michael keaton and jack nicholson.....AMAZING is all to be said about that.

but the sequel....mostly everyone can agree that it totally did NOT live up to what the first movie had-i mean, don't get

me wrong, it was still good. But it just didn't appeal to my likings that much. The summarized criticism is

practically "too dark"

That would be the one thing.....what comes to your mind?

What I enjoy most about Batman is the darkness of the character, Batman Forever wasn't all bad in that sense, but the introduction of Robin and all that other weird stuff just didn't make it feel like Batman, especially after Batman'89 and now after Begins and TDK, even more...

But Batman & Robin was absurd. Clooney was just plain silly, basically the 60's Batman all over again. Arnold Schwarzenegger was double silly. And who told Uma Thruman that she was attractive?! (ok, maybe that's just a question of taste...) But the whole storyline was awkward. The race! The Bat-girl?! Just watching that made me hate all things Batman for a while :P

"don't get me wrong, it was still good." - I wouldn't give them that much. Batman Returns was good, but Batman forever and especially Batman & Robin definitely sucked - total failures in my opinion.
