Actually she helped because she was friends with the Ventriliquist, her first week in arkham was lonely because Ivy and Joker weren't there, she was close to suicide but the ventriliquist reached out to her and entertained her, she knew he was an intensely private man so the fact that he reached out was a big deal. The answer to your question, I don't know haven't read it, thats a good question, I should probably pick that up.
